Each API key can make 60 requests per minute. A normal integration polls a few times per author every few hours, so it never gets near that. Every response tells you where you stand: Over the limit, you get 429 rate_limited with a Retry-After header saying how many seconds to wait.
Views refresh once an hour, so there’s nothing to gain from polling the same author more often than that.
