The view counts Sonder marks for every video.
Separately from going viral, Sonder records the hour each video passes these totals (views across all platforms):
1,000 · 10,000 · 50,000 · 100,000 · 250,000 · 500,000 · 1M · 2M · 5M · 10M · 20M · 50M…
From a million the ladder repeats 1, 2, 5 at every power of ten.
Each milestone is recorded once, the first time the total reaches it. If a video jumps from 800 to 60,000 views within an hour, it gets 1,000, 10,000 and 50,000 all at that hour.
